Has anyone else experienced freezing on he iPad? I've had it happen twice and I'm wondering if I should take it by the Genius Bar or not, or if this is a common bug. It has happened twice and it lasts roughly five minutes. The screen stays lit, but it's completely frozen. The touch screen won't work, and neither will the off/sleep button.

My iPad has been freezing as well when streaming videos and I found out that to fix this you have to change your router to 802.11 g only. If you choose n I noticed it conflicts with the stream and freezes the iPad. I've changed my router to wireless g and so far no issues.

I know it's a bit of a bummer but i really don't need n really as my router is not far from me.

Probably nothing to be concerned about.

Are you in a particular app when this happens? Try to nail that down, look for connecting incidents.

I'm assuming it is a software problem, I just want to make sure that it isn't a hardware problem, though i don't see how it could be. The first time it happened while trying to load Pages, but this time, about 30 minutes ago it happened on the unlock screen.

iPad is indeed in its primitive stages, and as much as we'd all like it to be perfect (and so far it has been for me), there's no doubt still some bugs to work out. I'm sure it's nothing though, I wouldn't worry about the freezing.

You mean like my thread from the day before?

Since then it's locked up two more times. Once on a YouTube clip, and the other while using the yahoo entertainment app (doing video).

Switching my router off of N or a combo of bands is not acceptable if that's the issue. I have a genius bar appointment to see what they say.
