I've had a few YouTube videos stop playing. Presumably that's due to the download stream not being fast enough, not the iPad freezing.

Other than that, no problems with freezing or stuttering.

You sure?

My 64GB 3G would lock up periodically playing videos of any type, in any application. It would do so even on videos stored on the device. Apple recognizes this as a defect, and will swap out such units.

My replacement has played many hours of video and has never locked up once, either during streaming (Wi-Fi and 3G) videos and stored videos.

If it has this problem, it locks up, requiring a cold boot to get it running again.

I'd say on average, when I'm in safari, it would go cold about 2 to 3 times per day. When it does that, usually I have to click the home button, go back into safari, click the home button again, go back into safari, then safari would be working again. Is this unusual?

Sounds like your magix are running low (are you of the dark side persuasion?)

Take it to an Apple store and ask for a magix-refill. I believe its a standard $19.99 charge.

;)

Umm, yah.

Hmmm...

I have had it drop out of Netflix a few times. I have had some apps freeze (but those were early builds and the latest updates have fixed it). I have never had it freeze due to the iPad itself though (AFAIK).

Since release day I have had to warm boot it once. And, again, that was caused by an early build of Civ:Revo (ipad version).

While in Album mode in iPod, the scrolling is even smoother and faster than that of my Macbook Pro. Safari is perfectly smooth, and all apps run without a hitch. The only stuttering that I have experienced is while scrolling in the iBooks Store. Odd.

Safari crashes regularly. I was just surfing and it crashed with only one page open on a page with YouTube embedded vids...if the ram can't rake it..work out the software not to load it. Annoying as hell. It crashed on load, not trying to play the vids.
