If only they had put a webcam in it, I would have bought an iPad for me and each member of my family. Till the day comes with a webcam in it, I won't be purchasing one. It's nice to see it may be planned for the future though:

Cool! I wonder if the iPad actually does have a camera? Probably not, but this is still cool. And I also like the option to download from Safari!!

Cool article. I think a lot of people are going to be eating their words when the tablet ships and we really see what it can do. Safari downloads is definitely good news.

This is great to know. When the new OS is implemented and the hardware is available I will be buying the iPad. The hardware may or may not be ready for the 1st gen release so I will bide my time.

Could it be possible that the iSight camera is there, and will be ready for the first generation release, just the iChat applications weren't ready, thus he didn't demo it? Possible? Sure. Likely? No.

I think the more interesting part of this article is the whole 'downloading files through safari' part.

I don't think we've seen everything there is to know about the iPad. More could be unveiled before the release, while other companies begin copying the design, etc.

Why do you think Steve gave himself 60 days? So he could screw over other companies, and surprise everyone else, with a possible iPhone 4.0 announcement. Maybe, he'll debut a front-facing camera for iPhone 4, as well as for the iPad "coming out it two weeks" or something like that.

Who knows. None of us have actual held the iPad, and by the time we do, it could be a completely different device.

It would be a too bigger feature for him to miss out. It's the sort of thing that will leave a lot of people waiting in hope for the iPad ver. 2
