I am keen to hear from those that use their iPads mounted within their car, and what you use your iPad for when in car?

Also, any concerns with CD player slot mounts?

I use an iPad mini for offroad navigation using GaiaGPS app, and 67 Designs mount. As this is for very rough conditions, I can't use some flaky mount system.

How do you have it mounted? What vehicle.
Jeep Wrangler, but they make mounts for various vehicles. It is a bit industrial looking for a car if you don't need something like this. Cost is about $150 (and up), for all the components

But now that GaiaGPS now recently supports Apple Carplay, on my next Wrangler (with an updated screen) I will likely use that instead of a mounted iPad (and connect to my iPhone instead)

Ahh I’ve got a Renegade. I don’t see any that would work, unless the 20 mm ball on the iPad mini fits in the Scosche mount I use for my iPhone.
Maybe look into ProClip.
I have used their products, but not their iPad holder.
The base mounts are custom for every vehicle. I have one for a BMW, but with an iPhone holder not an iPad holder (which they do make)
