iPad In Recovery Mode

So I just tried to update the OS on my iPad to 3.2.1 but during the verify update phase my computer froze! I restart the computer and tried to connect to itunes but am getting a message saying that my ipad is in recovery mode and must restore...

Will restoring it delete everything? During the failed update it did back up the ipad... How do I access that back up?

you will be guided trough the process by iTunes after the iPad is restored

so it updated successfully this go around and gave me the option to restore from back up... after that I just had to sync to itunes to recover my apps... some of them I had to reinstall individually.
