iPad in stores Friday, but...

Right... As I posted elsewhere, We don't know how much Apple has compensated for how the WiFi rollout went to make things go better this Friday. and, there is the whole 'everyone's seen it' now, so, do they want it more or less? (They will stand in line or went and pre-ordered...)
From a scientific standpoint, it's too little data and only one test case: this Friday. So, with no alternate universes (at least, no way to get to them...), the answer is: wait and see.

Seriously though...I didn't preorder since I just decided to get an iPad this week. Wife said she would like one and Mothers Day is right around the corner. Plan on showing up at my local BB about an hour before they open. We'll see how it goes!

On April 3rd intomobile.com had a live video feed from the Palo Alto, CA store, are they planning one for the April 30th 3G event?
More hype has been built, "shortages" of the wifi models already, the international release pushed back.....

I could be absolutely wrong, I hope so for your sake. It could be less of a crowd then the wifi launch... Just a lot of signs point to it being bigger.

You are so right about the Ebay folks and we all know Craiglisters will be out in full too. You might have to camp out to get a reserve ticket if you are going to Best Buy.

I am one of those eBay aholes. Gotta pay for my new MBP and iPad somehow. BTW, I have paid with both of them fully with the profit of selling iPads on eBay.

Too much work, Selling Derivatives is much easier and more lucrative.
Hopefully the Ebay aholes will not be in full force friday when I go line up to buy my tax deductible iPad with legitimately earned money selling derivatives.

I have a weird feeling that those eBay jackholes are going to find themselves with a limit to how many they can purchase. Nothing is worth my time if it's only going to net me a few bucks, I'd venture to guess a smart eBay seller would feel the same.
First week I was netting $110 per iPad. Now I am netting around $60-$75 per. Still not bad. Pays for the gas and groceries.
