Been using it since 11am and so happy I don't have to pay for an iPad 3G!

The iPad isn't a phone. You'll still bring ur iPhone. But instead of using it to surf u use the iPad. I took it with me today iPhone 3GS in back pocket and iPad in hand while walking around the mall. Flawless connection and even if my iPhone drains battery I can charge with my juice pack.

This beats buying another data plan and an iPad 3G!! I can pair my iPad with another service carrier if need be since the 3GS is unlocked too. Great way to save. But of course I use this method only when necessary when wifi isn't around.

Uh huh... no battery drain! Right. Like the iPhone isn't using any of its battery either. I'd rather drain the MUCH larger battery in the iPad.

The WiFi-only iPad still lacks a GPS.

The price difference is $130. The GPS alone is worth that. The 3G is a bonus. You don't even have to use it if you don't want. Or, buy bandwidth whenever you need it for a VERY reasonable fee.

The 3G iPad experience will be much more seamless and fun! And I bet it's faster than tethering too!

Why do people insist on paying AT&T more money. As if you really use enough of your iPhones own data plan. Go ahead and buy iPad 3G with your additional data plan when all you really need is your jail broken iPhone. And don't be ignorant jail breaking your iPhone isn't bad. It's bad for AT&T but not your wallet!
