iPad <--> iPhone Notes Sync Problems

Seems that notes I create on my iPhone never can get synced to my iPad and vice versa.

When I create a Note on my iPhone it appears on my Mac Mail.app in the MobileMe folder.

When I create a Note on my iPad it appears on my Mac Mail.app in the On My Mac folder.

But even when I try to "replace Notes on iPad with those on Mac" via iTunes, the iPhone Notes never make it onto the iPad.

Been struggling to figure this out for days now.

Anyone else having this problem or know a solution? Or is this just the way it is and I should quit pounding sand?

i noticed this too when i set up my mobileme account on my ipad. among the sync information, notes is not included on the ipad (mail, contacts, calendar, and bookmarks) but it is on the iphone. is there a different setting to include notes as well? since mobileme, i have my notes syncing in the cloud rather than a hard-wire sync.
