I'm not a big user of Bluetooth. I do like it to be available when I want it. I wanted to use it last night with my new iPad 6th gen that I got for Christmas, to pair with a bookshelf stereo unit to stream some Spotify. However, when I try to connect, the iPad will not recognize the device, the little wheel just sits and spins at me.
To make sure it wasn't the stereo, I tried pairing it with a Bluetooth Logitech keyboard. Still no joy.
To make sure it wasn't the iPad, I tried with my year-old iPhone XR on which Bluetooth has worked fine in the past, it still shows past paired items. However, it wouldn't pair with the stereo or the keyboard, neither of which it had paired with in the past.
Basically, neither of my Apple devices is recognizing any Bluetooth devices. I tried a hard restart on both the iPad and iPhone, still no joy. I've not tried resetting the network or going back to step one and doing a factory reset on the iPad or iPhone. (Doing it on the iPad wouldn't be an issue, would rather not do it on the iPhone even with Cloud backup just for the PITA factor.)
I'm seeing various reports of Bluetooth issues with iOS13 ... both the iPad and iPhone are up to date on OS ... so I doubt seeking technical help from Apple is going to solve anything. Does anyone have any more suggestions to try? Am I basically just SOL as far as Bluetooth working on these things? (Bluetooth on my old Android tablet that the iPad replaced still works quite well.)
