The iPad will be available in ireland in july which kinda sucks the way its taking so long.

But im wondering will it be in stores in july or just available to order?

I'm reliably informed that it will be available on the 24th July with pre-orders on the 10th.

Sadly it's released around same time as iPhone 4 which is really going to over shadow it.

You can buy your iPad PAYG microsim from O2 already. It comes in a package with a 'Microsim' Sticker covered over the ipad instructions. Peel off the sticker and it says 'Your iPad Microsim'... I get the impression that at one time O2 were in talks to be the solo operator - but when it appeared that it would not get it - it just stuck on a sticker over the packaging :D

They are €20 now and should be available in all O2 stores.

I use a standard Three Sim cut to fit my iPad as it gets better coverage down here in the stix of Kerry than either O2 or Vodafone's mobile broadband coverage.

Aww july 24th :/ thats a long time.

Im not really interested in iPhone4 because my 3GS is only a month old so it wont overshadow it for me.

Also im not getting a 3G version i want the 16 GB wifi, so i wont be needing a micro-sim.

There available on some irish sites online for 569€, kind of expensive

They are still fairly pricy alright on Ebay and even Adverts.ie

I bought mine from iPad-France.com - however they seem to have put prices up and its €579 + €30 shipping for the 16GB

Do you know anyone in the UK or in the North who might be able to get you one ? Or if your close to the border can you travel ?

Yeah i was checking adverts.ie

Fonezonline.ie is selling the 16GB for 569. Thats close to 600€, its a bit much.

And no i don't know anyone in the UK/north or live near to the north :/

I think il just have to wait but i wanted to have it for the whole summer but it doesnt seem like i will
