Iwas on on amazon the other day, and a amazon tablet was being advertised with the caption “1080P FULL hd”...
I know TV’s are rated 1080P, 4K, etc....

Is the Ipad pro 1080P? How is a tablet rated 1080P?

Also the other day , I was watching something on amazon prime, cant remember what, but ther twere two options for viewing, HD and something HD ULTRA.... I did not see any difference in either. Am I missing something or some setting?

The iPad resolutions are above 1080p, but less than 4K, so they highest resolution regarding videos they can support is 1080p. The 12.9" iPad Pro can technically support 1440p, but the YouTube app doesn't support this resolution on iOS devices and there aren't many movies or TV shows released in this resolution.

The 10.5" iPad Pro is 2224x1668. The 12.9" iPad Pro is 2732x2048. 1080p is 1920x1080. 4K is 3840x2160. 1080p naming refers to the second number, which is the height, probably because older TVs used to be measured in resolution by number of horizontal scan lines. 4K naming is rounding up the first number, the width. If a tablet says it is 1080p, then that probably means that it's display is EXACTLY 1080p. The iPad Pro is a little higher but nowhere near 4K.

Probably more info than you needed but it's always good to learn new things.
