iPad is "Prepared for Shipment" so when can I expect it?

My online order says the shipment date is June 1st, however when I ordered it, the Apple online store said 7-10 days for shipping, well I placed the order exactly 10 days ago. Should I be expecting my iPad in a few days or will it sit at "Prepared for Shipment" for the next week?

PS. I live in the United States if that makes a difference

well it's been shipped! Supposed to be arriving 10:30am on Thursday. I got my fingers crossed...

I'm in the same situation... only one day later... Jun 1st was Apples "predicted" shipping date, I was kinda hoping they were under-promising/over-delivering - You're news gives me hope

The shipping times are pretty damn accurate from what i've seen and also experienced.

An update:

After a few hours, Fedex changed their expected shipping date to June 2nd. Which makes sense because they will not deliver Sat. Sun. or Mon. (Memorial Day) So...on Tuesday they say it will be here..My worst nightmare is that it arrives Friday afternoon and sits in a Fedex warehouse 20miles away for 4 days...

My hope is that the iPad is currently in Alaska and is getting shipped to Memphis tomorrow..which would mean a Friday delivery date. (The last update from the Fedex site was that the iPad left Lantu Island last night at 22:00) But I feel this is a stretch...
