Are there any major issues so far? I'm asking because I am planning to order the iPad via a service so that I can receive it here in Singapore. Thus it'll be difficult to make any exchanges (though possible with an administrative charge). Are there any problems? I saw in the forums with some scratches on the screen, etc.

Also, can anyone who has already bought the iPad measure the box for me? I need to know the exact dimensions for this service too.

Thanks

There aren't scratches on the screens. It's just that the defualt background LOOKS like scratches.

I have a dead pixel smack dab in the middle of the screen. :( Other than that though, everything else seems to be perfect. :)

No major issues for a vast majority of people. A couple of people on another thread reported a dead pixel; they will mostly likely get a replacement iPad.

Shipping box is L=29, Width=25 Height=11 (all in centimeters). The iPad box inside is L=25.5, W=20.5, H=5.5. Maximum error in measurement for each side is 0.5 cm. Remember the boxes do not include any accessories -- just the iPad, power cube and connector. Weight on the UPS notice was 1.5 KG (probably between 1.5 and 2.0 KG).

[If you want inches, divide by 2.54.]

<Beaten by a few minutes since I was downstairs measuring!>

Thanks a lot. I have gotten these measurements somewhere else (I forgot) if anyone's interested. 11" by 10" by 4" This includes not only the box itself, but the brown cardboard shipping box.

Also, I realised that it doesn't really matter. The courier company will do the measurements for me and charge me accordingly.

Won't charge via usb

I've been reading that unless you have a Mac, it won't charge through USB. I've got mine hooked up to my PC, which has USB 2.0, and it won't charge.

I think that Apple should have mentioned this when I was getting it setup in the apple store yesterday.
