I have my Home Screen just now want it
Various apps and a couple of folders

I never use any of the widgets.

However, probably once every 7 to 10 days I wake up to find the clock, date, weather and contacts widgets added to my Home Screen.

My single screen expands to two screens

Anyone know what would be causing this and how to fix

Thanks.

I have the same issue and posted a similar topic here recently with no solution. I think in its eagerness to enhance every new OS version, Apple gets a little too intrusive and carried away.

I have never heard of widgets being added to the Home Screen on their own. Added to widget stacks, yes. Apologies, I have no solution for this.

Are you sure your kid isn’t pranking you by going in to mess up your Home Screen every other week?

No

Definitely not
Nobody else around
Happens overnight whilst asleep and iPad next to bed
Should have taken a photo, but it’s always the same widgets in same places with my apps then thrown all off kilter due to this.

Goes from a single home page to two due to the widgets
Always adds a large Apple TV widget to top of “page 2”

In my case this happens mostly when powering off and on the iPad. But occasionally the overnight surprise too. Every time I then delete the unneeded widgets and rearrange the Home Screen. But still a mystery. I don't see a setting to control or prevent this.
