Hello,

I own an ipad Air 1. I have set Auto Lock to 1 hour. Sometimes I want to lock ipad in less than 1 hour. How can I do it without changing the setting every time to Immediately?

If I press the power button it just locks the screen but I can press the home button an unlock without password. I need a shortcut that I will lock the ipad and require password to unlock it.

The setting you are looking for is in Settings - Touch ID and Passcode - Require passcode. You can set it to require passcode immediately after turning off screen.
The setting in Display and brightness only controls when the screen automatically turns off.

I have the following options
Settings->Require Passcode = After 1 hour
Display & Brightness -> Lock / Unlock (Auto lock unlock your ipad when you close and open the ipad cover). I don't have an ipad cover.
Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock = Never (because I want to lock the screen myself).

I'm looking for a shortcut or gesture whatever to lock display with passcode when I want to lock it, something I can do with any android tablet. Right now I have to change the Require Passcode every time by hand to Immediately and back to 1 hour or restart it! Restart is the only quick shortcut that works.

The iPad Air 1 doesn’t have Touch ID.

How about changing the "Require Passcode - After 1 hour" setting? Sounds like, that would make sense.o_O

If I need to pass lock the ipad earlier than the "Require Passcode" timer, how I would do it? I will have to shut it down, restart or spend useless time to go to settings and change the timer to Immediately and then lock the screen.

Set the passcode timer to "immediately" (or whatever it's called). Then you need to enter your password as soon as you are locking your screen.
