I bought a new iPad a couple weeks ago and then restored from my old iPad's backup. At some point, both devices were online at the same time before I wiped the old iPad. The new iPad set its mDNS name as "bedouins-iPad-2" (the old iPad was named "bedouins-iPad"). I reset the new iPad's name and omitted the "2," but I cannot figure out how to change the mDNS (i.e., Bonjour) name. The old iPad with the same name was wiped and given a new name a long time ago.
I tried shutting off all devices on my network, including routers and access points, and then starting the new iPad alone. That did not have any effect.
Is there some way I can get rid of the "2?" It is sort of annoying me.
