so I had bought my mother a brand new Apple iPad mini 2 a few years back. Absolutely Zero problems it’s been babied and basically only used in the house and most on the couch. I even bought her a case, the thing doesn’t even have a scratch on it especially the screen and never dropped .

A few months ago it started to develop some screen issue on the bottom about quarter inch where it was a bunch of horizontal lines covering the screen and progressively since then has gotten worse and right now it’s coverinf almost the entire bottom app row...

Obviously this damage was never caused by her so i kinda already know Apple isn’t gonna do anything

Atleast if i trade in it to the Apple store it says in working condition and everything they’ll give me $100... is that possible with the screen issue

They will test the device before giving you money. They don’t usually offer money for defective displays.

Correct but I should complain to Apple regardless, how did the screen go bad with no damage? And I’ve read online it’s actually a frequent thing..
