So the Mini 4 has been running just fine for years until several weeks ago on iOS 13.3.1 these issues appeared.
It wasn’t immediately after I updated to that software, more like a month later. Every other day I have to reboot the iPad cause apps just crash when I try to open them. Simple apps: Safari, Reddit, Youtube, Google maps, etc.

After reboot the problem goes away for a day or two but then it comes back. I updated to 13.4.1 but it didn’t help. In the morning I see the prompt to enter passcode, meaning the iPad rebooted on its own at night. Otherwise it works fine. The RAM management and battery life are both noticeably worse than on iOS 12 (let alone 10), but I guess that’s to be expected.

Does anyone experience anything similar? Any suggestions?

Sell your iPad mini 4 and get an iPad mini 5. The iPad mini 4 is on its last leg.
