Wondering how the new mini will perform with iOS 13?
Is the screen large enough to take full advantage?

From a display perspective the mini has always had the same resolution as the 9.7” iPads. It should work fine, just like the 9.7, just a bit smaller overall. Btw it’s not iOS anymore, it’s iPad OS (no version number right now).

Yes iPad OS

Works well for me too. The smaller font means you get more items in the folder/ more folders per page which works well. Apple Pencil works well too. Early days yet..

i have an ipad mini 4 that I loaded it onto and it works great, smooth and renders amazingly well ... yes things are smaller but a pleasant experience.

How would you compare iOS 12 to iPOS in terms of speed?
I would say its equivalent ... and should get better since this is Beta 1 ... im quite surprised at how well it is running on the 4 .... as it was with 12 it was hiccuping but thats to be expected with its specs, 13 seems no worse and maybe even slightly better at this point (with the bugginess of a beta 1)

iPOS is a very funny abbreviation for iPadOS. :D

That's promising - thank you.

Does iOS 13 lower Pencil latency on the Mini too, or is that just for the Pro line/Pencil 2?

Just the Pencil 2. There was a reddit post where someone was bragging about how iPadOS 13 made their Apple Pencil 1 work much better.

Really enjoying the Mini for its size and portability and wouldn't want to have anything any bigger
