iPad mini iPad Mini 5

my iPad mini screen is not even. Can you please check yours?
Just swipe on screen with your finger from left to right and top to down. While screen is good, but not even. I don't fee same issue with iPad Pro 10.5 or iPhone XS Max.
 
Just ordered mine online. Sad to let go of my ipad mini 2 whose traveled all over the world with me...but at 5 yrs old with a cracked screen & broken home button...it’s time for her to retire. Gonna recycle it at one of the Apple stores this weekend.

The mini 5 will be so much faster which will be nice. My only gripe is that I wished it used the apple pencil 2 since I already have one for my 11” ipad pro. But ya can’t have everything. Still nice that it can use an apple pencil now...even if I’d have to buy another one.
 
Since the mini hasn’t ever supported the use of an Apple Pencil, I’ve never used the pencil with an iPad. I’d like to. I think I’ve read that interaction with the pencil & iPad benefits from a matte screen which replicates closer, an actual interface with real paper.

Would someone who is familiar with this please point me to a recommended glass screen protector for such?

I have only used matte screen protectors and those aren’t glass, at least not the ones I’ve used. They make the screen feel more like paper, cut way down on the appearance of smudges and fingerprints, but they also decrease the sharpness of the screen image. I’m accustomed to those things and prefer or don’t mind but your mileage may vary.

I have used the iCarez brand on my iPads and have been happy with them.

Thank you, Libby. I’ll give those a try. Liking this new mini the more I use it for various tasks.

One of the criticisms I’ve read is that it only has two speakers. I agree it would sound better w/4 but, c’mon..it’s a small multi-task device..not a stereo system! There was mention of death metal pounding through the mini..lol - that’s awesome.

Not death metal but I’ve found that Dream Theater’s “In the presence of enemies pt1”, or “stream of consciousness” does a pretty good job of breaking in new Mac speakers to loosen them up. Tall order for the mini though. Music, and the sound of music, in all of it’s fullness still requires the movement of air to reach it’s full richness (ie: large cones). It’s a mini for goodness sakes..lol. Perspective and realistic expects are a good thing.
