Protect your screens folks! This is the first device screen I’ve ever cracked. My phone fell onto it and left a crack that is only visible when it’s powered on. Ugh I feel horrible. I just got the notification that my case shipped.

I wonder if screen protection would've saved it from a heavy iPhone falling on it. Some things you can't control.

I can see my 12 Pro Max easily cracking any screen if dropped, even from a few inches. Especially if the corner of the phone was the striking point. Sorry it happened.
That’s exactly what it was, the 12 Pro Max.

Maybe the repaired screen won‘t have the jelly effect ?

Could you take out Apple Care and claim on it after a few days?
I’m thinking I should buy Apple Care sooner rather than later. It says you have 60 days on the iPad but I wonder if it does a self diagnostic test before letting you buy it. Back in the day, you could purchase Apple Care after purchase but a genius tech had to check your device out so that you can’t buy the plan after the device already broke.

I highly recommend getting it asap, esp for this version. The edges seem to make it more likely to crack. What’s wild to me is that the surface is smooth and the crack seems to appear on the inside of the screen. This is the first time I’ve had a device with a screen crack so I’m not sure if that’s the norm or not when accidents happen.

Yeah they do they do a self test before they allow you to purchase unless you go into the store
