Wow that was quick! I wish apple matched with gift cards or else can’t buy on amazon while having 700 dollar gift card at apple.

Thanks for the notice. I'll be making a trip to my local Best
Buy for a price adjustment. (I hope)

Hm. I don’t see the price adjusted on Amazon. Anyone else still see old price?

I get $84 off coupon on 128GB wifi purple and $89 off coupon on 256GB wifi blue on Amazon. The other colors don't have the extra discount.

I was not planning to upgrade from my iPad mini 6, but with the Costco price match at Best Buy coupled with the $260 trade-in value, I walked out of Best Buy paying only $172 after tax and trade-in for the iPad mini 7 128GB. I'd say thats a good deal for a 3 year old iPad with a battery that was noticeably diminished and this new one has double the storage.

Thanks. Odd the other colors aren’t on there but perhaps Amazon’s algorithms haven’t picked up the other prices at Costco yet.

Sigh...I'm really happy with my 6, but you make an excellent point. You probably will get another year or two of software and security updates as well.

I dunno. I think Amazon just has excess stock of those configurations so they have those coupons.

I remember Amazon selling the iPad mini 6 256GB pink cellular for $629 (even cheaper than Apple refurb) when all other colors cost $50 more.

Your post just cost me $84.49. 😜

I had a 256GB Mini, so the trade-in was $350. I was only using 40GB and figured I could get away with 128GB comfortably. So with tax I walked out with the Mini 7 for $84.49. Not bad!

This has to be an Apple sanctioned sale price right?

No way Costco and Amazon are just eating $100 out of panic of excess inventory one week after a new product came out

Apple seems to be pretty hands-off in terms of pricing nowadays.

I doubt it's due to retailers panicking. The $399 is probably the "normal sale" price going forward much as it was for the iPad mini 6 a few months after release.

It's just that this time around, there probably weren't a lot of early adopters willing to pay full price for the iPad mini 7 so they offered deals quickly. Retail is pretty affected by turnaround time.

This deal was sweet enough I ended up taking advantage.

Despite losing panel lottery on the space grey I tried at launch the other week and not liking space grey for being way too light and lame and promptly returning it, I decided to go for blue this time.

I obsessively compared displays with my 6th gen for a little bit, and my mini 7 is noticeably warmer but on its own looks fine and looks superior to the previous mini7 I tried. Beginning to think that’s just generally how these run and my previous might’ve been a rare 6. The 6 also had dramatic off axis pink tint but never bothered me just sorta interesting. And not uneven tint like the previous or dull looking as the previous 7 that I recall. FN serial # panel yet again

Traded in my base wifi space grey mini 6 to Best Buy for $260 trade equivalent.

Net $140+tax out the door after price match and trade makes it a relative no brainer... for me. Otherwise I would've stayed put.

I bought a starlight Mini from Amazon for $399. That's a good deal and it matches the color of my starlight M2 11" Air.

Never thought about starlight. But that color with sage folio is out of this world combo at least on the pics.

After recently ordering some AirPods off of Amazon and receiving a dirty product box (this was to be a gift and I don't want to gift something looking like that), and then learning it can be up to 30 days for me to get my money back for the return, I'm reluctant to purchase any high value items from Amazon again. It's been probably 10 days and no money back yet. Best Buy all the way.

I went with a smoke-grey clear backcover. I discovered that my M2 iPad Air wakes up like my iPhone if you touch the screen and TouchID works great.

I'll have to try in store. Best Buy online told me no.
I had the opposite experience. The store refused so I went I to the parking lot and bought it online using their chat and then walked back in and picked it up in store. The supervisor that refused me was pissed! 😂 I’d suggest you try online again and hope to get a better CSR.

Yeah good story. Sometimes it takes 7 csr people to get what you want online.
