If you want the easiest to sell, Space Grey is likely the one most people buy.
Personally, I find all the colors to be quite subtle anyway. I plan on getting either Blue or Purple this time around for a change.

On a serious note, vast majority of people use their ipads with a full case and the colors this year is so muted that I suspect would be hard pressed to see any bits with colors.

I’m not upgrading, but if I were it would have to be purple again.
I’d never buy Space Grey on the basis that I’d sooner have Slate akin to the iPhone 5 or a brighter colour.
I saw Starlight in person when the Mini 6 was released and wasn’t taken by it - I assume it is unchanged in shade.
I would’ve considered blue but as it seems to have a green tint, it’s not for me.

On an earlier poll another site, blue and shadow grey were the two most popular choices. Since blue was the new color for 2024 like with the Air I elected to get that, its blueish silver, but a tad darker then the purple and starlight. I matched to a china blue targus case for the mini 6/7 at best buy. Targus.
I also observed in Apple store that the shadow grey is lighter this year which makes it more attractive, and the purple the new color darling of 2021 is even more pale like a violet silver. The starlight is about the same.

Funnily enough I got the blue thinking it would have some green undertone, but it’s actually just very blue and no green at all, the color on apple website does not look like the color in person at all
The purple is gorgeous! I have it on my M2 Air. I had cold feet after ordering that colour on a whim (was leaning more towards starlight), but I'm so glad I went with it. It's subtle and the mostly looks gray unless under direct lighting, but it goes beautifully with it's purple case.
Purple is the only correct choice. It's one of the reasons I bought an iPhone 11 when they were first released.
Space gray after cancelling my blue and starlight Mini's. I didn't like the washed out pastel colors.
I chose Blue. Ideally I’d want a silver one to match my iPad Pro, but there’s no Silver on the mini and the closest is either Starlight or Blue.
Decided to go for a cooler tone as I never was that big on Starlight, so blue it was.
I like it. On its own it does look more silver-y, but next to other silver devices it definitely stands out as blue.

I was boring and ended up with Space Grey, mainly because that was what Best Buy had in stock at the time I upgraded from my Mini 6. That one was Starlight and I really liked the color, but it spends all its time in a case anyway so Space Grey it is!
It's interesting... the 'Space Gray' finish on the iPad mini 7 is much lighter than Apple's typical Space Gray. I know there are slight variances between all Space Gray devices and Macs, but the Space Gray finish on the iPad mini 7 looks almost silver when compared to the Space Gray finish on iPad mini 6.
yeah the color really doesn't matter that much this gen, but I still am glad I went with blue. Space grey just a Silver grey snooze fest IMO.

On most of the online reviews, the blue looked kinda meh. It appeared so subtle as to be barely blue. But i just bought one, and in person, I have to say the blue is definitely bluer than it looks in videos. I really love it. Yes, it’s not a dark blue, but it’s definitely blue. Kinda like blue steel. 😉 It’s really really really ridiculously good looking. 😆 Seriously tho, I’m glad i got the blue. ✌🏼
