Since the announcement of the Apple Pencil Pro, I was wondering what would happen with the iPad Mini
Now that the iPad Air and Pro lineup use M chips, and being the only ones that can use the Apple Pencil made me wonder what would happen to the iPad Mini in the future.

I don't know if a chip like an A17 Pro or the A18 could actually make it work, in fact I'm starting to wonder if Apple would ever add support to the Apple Pencil pro on a smaller device.

What are your thoughts?

The Mini was always the strange hybrid between iPads. Not an air, not a pro but somewhere in the middle. This was before the emergence of the M chip, now it's technically below the air. I would love an M chip but am not hopeful that will happen.

In reference to the Apple Pencil Pro, it's possible they skip it and just use the regular Apple Pencil. Mini are used mainly in vertical mode unless watching something so the need to move the camera is substantially mitigated.
