iPad mini IPad mini or iPad Air for 2nd mac.?

Hi guys,

I am on the fence on which ipad to get. I currently use my ipad 10.5 as my only computer. As of recently all my mac pros went bad as well as my MacBook Pro.. I am able to do everything with my iPad Pro right now. But debating if i should should get another one for work when the other is charging. I was debating on get the new iPad Pro 12.9. But I’m not sure if I really want to invest in another pen and keyboard when i could use another iPad Air and keep using my current pencil with it. When my iPad Pro is charging.. what do you guys think ?
 
The cheap solution is to just keep it plugged in when possible so that battery doesn’t drain so quickly. Or if possible get one of the stronger chargers if they are compatible with your model iPad.

If you want to get a backup device there are points to be made for both a similar size iPad or a different size iPad. I recommend to buy the device that you feel inspired by the most. Buy from a place with a good return period policy and use it to make up your mind then.
 
I'd get a big external battery and a really long lightning cable and charge it while i'm chilling on the couch or desk while i'm using it. Out of the two options you said though I think the ipad mini is a good idea. Only reason I say that is you save 100 bucks and at least it's a different size for different usage cases than the 10.5 which is the same size you already have.
