I am looking for the same thing. Something slim and protective that doesn't leave the bezel exposed. And also has a Smart Cover attachment.

Incipio Lexington

Note, the Lexington for the rMini does not include sleep/wake magnets though.

The Lexington for the original Mini does and it will fit the rMini but it covers the 2nd mic on the back of the rMini.

[Update]: I do not recommend this case. I took delivery of it today, and found that it does not fit. It's not as though it kind-of fits, it just flat out doesn't fit. It's as if it were left in a dryer too long, and is now too small for the iPad to wear.

Other than the whole not-fitting thing, it feels pretty nice. I like the materials used, and will seek out a similar case.

Photive SlimPad iPad Mini 2nd generation Smart Cover Case.

Details:

  • Ultra Slim Smart Cover case designed for the New iPad mini, iPad mini Retina, iPad Mini 2. Built In magnets fully support Apple Sleep Wake feature.
  • Transforms into a stand with multiple viewing and typing angles. Soft interior lining to protect your New iPad Mini screen from scratches.
  • Attention to detail - Quality construction, Sleek Design, and Top materials is what make this case stand out from the rest.
  • Ultra Slim Profile keeps your New iPad Mini light and sleek, while giving you 360 Degree protection. Strong Magnets ensure the front Smart Cover stays closed.

back case is hard plastic

Any danger that the hard plastic back case of the Photive will scratch the back of the iPad or the bevelled edges? Thanks.

Here's an exact clone/knockoff of the offical case:

They've got a choice of colors and they've also got the one for the iPad Air.

Awesome. Anyone purchased to verify that its a 1:1 case?

Yeah, real awesome. They use Apple's description verbatim, and steal all their photos. Of course it looks like Apple's case...it IS. Fact is, you have no idea what you'll get, if you get anything at all from this unknown company. If you send these people money, you're an idiot.

i just emailed them recently and got a reply today (jan 5, 2014). they said it would be another 5-6 weeks for this case.

Darn, thanks for the update. I've been checking every few days to see if it has been released. I only planned on using this Apple Smart Case for a few days til I can find something else I like. I may just end up keeping it.

Here's a 1:1 (supposedly) knockoff: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Magn...a-Original-1-1-For-Apple-iPad/1555219519.html

I use the Apple leather smart case, why go past it? It's very good, works well, protects and looks very classy, I have the black one.
