iPad mini iPad Mini Stuttering?

I'm really interested in getting an iPad Mini, but the display units I've used at Best Buy seem to have a bit of a stutter when doing stuff like swiping through photos. I understand that it's not 120 Hz like my iPad Pro is, but it's almost as it has a slight catch each time I swipe. Is that just the demo unit, or is that pretty standard?
