iPad MLB At Bat App question

I don't have an iPad (yet), but I'd like to purchase the MLB At Bat app for my iPhone. Will I be able to use the sweet iPad At Bat app for free when I get my iPad? Or is it a separate App?

Stupidly, they're separate apps. 15 bucks a pop.

The iPad app is also pretty buggy. Slow to update and issues loading Data. I will say it has been better tonight though...may have been a server issue rather Than an app issue.
