I am thinking about getting an Ipad, my only question is when I convert movies to play on my Ipod touch it makes them for the Ipod/Iphone screen. Is there anything to convert them to the Ipads larger screen? I really don't want to watch all my movies in horrible quality.

Use Handbrake.
Do some research online. You're better off converting videos as close to their native size as you can. You can always get a good picture by downscaling it (i.e. watching on the iPhone), but you will never get good quality by stretching it out on a larger screen (like the iPad or a TV).
