I have never used my iPad Pro for productivity. Always used my MacBook. Is it just me or is the file management for word documents hard to use compared to Mac? It’s driving me nuts.

It’s not for me. I use Google Drive/Docs/Sheets to write and utilize documents (.docx and .xlsx) on my M1 Air. It’s very intuitive and easier than a PC. Additionally, the native Apple apps (Numbers, Pages, Files) appear to be as easy to use, although I prefer Google.. 😊

I use OneDrive (work) and iCloud (personal) and it works fine for me. I can create new folders, organize files, open, close, etc. all very similarly to how my MacBook works.

No, it's not only you. File system and file handling on iPad is rudimentary and unintuitive. I wouldn't use iPad for productivity, despite a "Pro" label. Every time I need to do anything work-related on iPad without remoting into my Windows desktop, I find it's not suitable for the task.
