I just bought my first iPad, a 10th generation base model. I have had iPhones for a long time. On my phone, I usually open apps by tapping the Search button near the bottom. I don't see this or an equivalent feature on my iPad. (iPadOS 17.2) Also, I removed the App Library from the Dock at the bottom, and now I don't have a way to find my apps other than paging through the screens.

So, my first questions are:
1. How to restore the App Library to the Dock?
2. How to search to find an app?

Thank you. #1 is done.
I finally got #2 to work.
I hope they add the Search feature to the 4 dots, like they did for iOS.

Thank you. #1 is done. But I don't see a Search window when I swipe down. Only Notifications, and if I clear them, only the date and time. Any other ideas?
Don't swipe down from the very top - swipe down in the middle of the window.
