hi there. I apologize in advance if I'm asking in the wrong forum.
I'm new to ipad (2018 version).
I'm wondering if there are apps that let's me playback audio+video files and also display pdf files from external usb disk (pendrive or portable harddrive), without having to copy the ipad ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

There are some dongles, that have an accompanied app to do that, but most are terrible at playback,
and transfer speeds are also terrible.
your other choice is a wireless drive, but still have the same problems as above.

just streaming is better from home network, but on the go, you are better off to copy to the iPad.

There are some apps, like Infuse that can transfer files to the app in a browser.

thanks for the help. i'll check out infuse

You can also store them online in a Dropbox account. There is an app for it too to easily access your files. Then as long as you have a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection you can view/stream them.
