Since the iPhone 6+ is a phablet and could in theory stand in place of a phone and tablet...will iPad only apps be made available to the iPhone 6+ or does this depend on the individual developer? I'd ideally like to have one device instead of two and haven't seen much mention of this.

I think a lot of developers will make their handwriting and drawing apps available because it's a good sized device for pen input. But it's still too small of a device for a lot of apps that have huge interfaces.

So I contacted Apple about it today and they said it would depend on the developer and whether they make a modified version of the existing ipad apps. He also added the screen resolution is better in comparison to the current ipad models. I might check out or contact the specific developers I need. I'd like to see if there's anything coming for apps like Procreate, ifontmaker, paper, etc.

EDIT: Procreate Pocket is being released for Iphone soon <3
