iPad only turns on when plugged into charger (fully charged)

Hi guys.

I hope this hasn't already been asked before - I have 'MRoogled' it!

When I turn off my iPad, I can't turn it back on again unless I plug it into the mains charger or iTunes. It is charged. Even when I hold home and sleep/wake for 15 secs it won't turn on.

The sleep/wake button does work, as it functions when the iPad is switched on.

Anyone else heard of anything like this?

OK. Will do. I didn't do it already because the sync afterwards takes AGES.

take out your sim card, and jumper the terminals where the sim card used to be together, this will tell you if its your processor, or your ipad.
