Hey Guys !

is it me or has it happened with everyone else here? After I have updated to iPad OS 14.2 The Pointer Size of the Cursor when I add a Bluetooth Mouse has become Ginormous !! C’mon Apple we were already getting used to the circular cursor instead of the traditional Arrow and to add to the Misery You have made the Cursor look almost like a Half Moon on the Screen !! This is like a Eclipse happening on my screen.

Can anyone please confirm on this ?

Same here but only if assistive touch is on.
Yes, that is a great observation but what if someone is using a Hot Keys Mouse where I have configured my each click and button on my Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse Keys to perform certain Functions like Go to Home Screen, Multi-Tasking etc...etc.. In such a scenario I have to keep Assistive touch On.

That’s true, this looks like a bug, i’m using a logitech mouse with hotkeys, so I fell your pain. Drop a feedback and hope the best.

It’s been that size and shape on assistive touch since way before official mouse support for me anyway.

Never mind

Perhaps you don’t have the pointer size set correctly. Slid all the way to the left.

Accessibility> pointer control> slide all the way to the left for smaller pointer> Then go to Touch>AssistiveTouch ON>

On, it will remain fairly large and AssistiveTouch off, it should show a smaller pointer circle. IOS 14.2
With iOS 14.1 this issue is not present.

I guess we’ll just have to hope for iPadOS 14.2.1. :(

Maybe you are used to it. Not everyone is ! :)
I definitely didn’t say I liked it! I have bought up multiple threads complaining about it actually!

I’m pretty sure I have it set correctly, I have played about with it extensively. Check the difference In the photos.
Also, when assistive touch is operational, the usefulness of the normal mouse pointer (the text bar for cut and pasting for example) is completely lost. So on one hand I can have hot corners but a giant cursor!! But on the other I lose the best of the mouse functions. Or I can have the better mouse functions but lose the cool assistive touch additions. I have posted loads of times about this but for some reason either I’m not getting my point correctly across, or I’m the only one with the issues!!

This issue has been present for me since the new mouse support was launched. But I’m on 14.1 for the record.

Make sure you make a feedback to Apple which is the only way we might get this corrected.

@magneeto

Go to Assistive touch -> Perform touch gesture -> Turn that off and the size will be reduced.

the difference is that you have to click instead of touch.

Gotcha. Worked. Thank you

Only glitch, unless you have a workaround, I cannot copy and paste somewhere else. I can highlight a sentence with my mouse, but as of right now I can’t find a way to copy it. I have a few of my mouse buttons assigned other tasks and it works, just not being able to copy something after highlighting it.

Edit: I found a work around by using a stylus after the sentence is highlighted with my left mouse button, Tapping the highlighted area which then pops up COPY.
