iPad OS 14: App Library missing

If Apple doesn't add the App Library to my iPad, bad things are going to happen. I want to delete app icons and I want to be able to hide homescreens, just like I'm now used to with my iPhone and iOS 14. It's such an improvement. I don't want to be a home screen icon messy anymore. ? It's easily my favorite feature of iOS 14.

And y no widgets on iPad home screens? On the iOS device with the biggest screen estate and therefore the biggest potential benefit from widgets? Is this a joke? Are they smoking? ? Or are these features just not yet ready for iPad and they will come with some iPad OS 14.2?

I am so angry, I just registered here to rant about this.

Listening to the Gruber talk show interview with Craig it sounded like they simply didn’t have time. Last year they brought the widgets as a pane to the left for iPad home screen. This year they updated them for iPhone. I’m sure they will come in the future. Probably iPadOS 15

Swipe down in the Home Screen and the search appears. Lets you search for apps as well. Did you accidentally install the whole App Store? What do you need 1000 apps for?

apps are missing from the main Home Screen swipe down and search method .. I have Siri, news, Siri knowledge, and dictionary ... apps are not in that swipe down and search method

It’s strange that Apple decided to separate the 2 OS to make the iPad more complete, but it’s clear they put way more effort on iOS 14 than iPadOS 14. This year iPadOS feels like a regression compared to iOS. No back tap, no app library... practically feels like iPadOS 13.

when you swipe down, as you type the app name, it will appear below the search field.
