It’s a long time since an update has upset me enough to visit forums and give feedback to Apple. Below is feedback I have given on the Photos app. Does anyone have any inside knowledge on whether Apple realises how much it has messed up this one??
……..
I very rarely give feedback - but this one feels too important just to accept “getting used to it”.
Until this recent update, Photos app was one of the best features of iPad, and the app I used the most. Browsing whole library of photos, swiping through full screen photos, playing videos, basic editing, searching, sharing. Everything was very fluid, usable, and an enjoyable way to experience my photos/videos collection.
The most recent update has, unfortunately, spoiled this in so many ways as to summarise that the experience has been ruined. Some examples:
Thank you.

The most recent update has, unfortunately, spoiled this in so many ways as to summarise that the experience has been ruined. Some examples:
- To reach full library for photo browsing now requires an extra, awkward, swipe/press which is sometimes unresponsive
- I set preferred size for preview/thumbnails in main library, but this always gets reset / forgotten next time I open the app
- To view full screen photos is now an extra press with a short delay - awkward and
- Swiping between photos is less responsive, with swipe gesture sometimes being ignored or mistaken for a tap which toggles full screen
- Video playback is highly frustrating - variability on (a) auto-play vs not (b) audio active or not (c) ease of play/pause/slider controls (d) auto loop / repeat - this last one is particularly difficult to live with.
Thank you.
