it seems that one cannot switch apple IDs anymore with the new ipad os beta without getting the "this device is linked to another apple ID" message anymore. this is a pity. like many non-US customers I have a US account to legally buy movies they don't offer in our local apple store (which is basically 90% of the good movies and tv shows). any hints how to circumvent that? thanks

I haven’t seen anyone else point this out. Thanks!

The “This Device is linked to another Apple ID” thing means you want automatic download during account switch, which can only happen once every 90 days. Instead, you just sign out of your US ID, and login to your local ID under “iTunes & App Store” whenever you want to download contents in your local ID. And vice versa. The main point is sign in and out of ID from different region wont trigger what you see. But attempting to allow automatic download will.

The message also appears if you manually try to download iTunes content on an alternate Apple ID.

Interestingly though, streaming works fine.

Interesting. The only prompt I see is entering password window and nothing else, and I have tow accounts.
Guess its time to pay a bit extra attention to this.

Are your two accounts in two countries?

My main account is in Canada. My secondary account is in the USA
