iPad iPad OS: How to add other music on iPad to Apple Music Library

Say I download a song onto my iPad from somewhere unrelated to Apple - how can I add it to my Apple Music library? I see it in my Downloads folder in the Files app but I can't figure out how to add it to my library. I can do this easily from Mac - just drag or import. Can it be done from the iPad? Thanks!

Based on further reading, it seems this is not yet possible, unfortunately. I have a huge library of live music that I constantly add to and manage so it seems I can't move entirely to an IPP and ditch the Mac.

So much for Apple’s advertisement that the iPad is as capable as a Mac/PC.
