Is there any quality iPad PDF editor that isn’t based on a subscription payment model? I have no problem buying an app but refuse to rent one for $50ish a year. Crazy to me. Thanks.

Some options which come to mind that can edit and also offer an option to buy instead of subscribe are:

PDF Office Pro, Acrobat Expert - 9.99 euro/dollar + 9.99 euro/dollar to upgrade to Max so total 19.98 dollar/euro
GoodReader Pro PDF Editor - 79.99 dollar/euro
PDFelement - PDF Editor - 39.99 dollar/euro (iOS only, this app also offers subscription but you can also pay once)
PDFpen 6 - PDF Editor - 6.99 dollar/euro

All apps have been updated in 2021 so still actively maintained.
I'm also maintaining this list on AppRaven so if you or I find other do suggest them here or there.
