Good day,
I have an old iPad Air 2 that I am decommission, because I am getting the 2020 iPad Pro this week.
I wanted to commission it as a PhotoFrame, for on my book shelf.

I am finding it very frustrating, as it ONLY seems to play SlideShow (for ALL PHOTOS which is what I want), IN ORDER?
I cannot find any setting that will set it for "Random" or "Shuffle"?

Is there a way to do this?
Objective:
iPad Air 2: IOS 12: PhotoFrame, Playing RANDOM/SHUFFLE Photos from Entire Photo Library (apple PHOTOS app).

Thanks very much.

I use the Photo Manager Pro app for my photo storage and viewing. It has a nice slideshow capability with shuffle for all photos in a folder.

Do you have a link to the app? I cannot find it.

This is the app you want. We point it to a shared iCloud Photos album where everyone in the family can add to. Has made our iPad Air 1 a great photo frame with a cheap £3 IKEA frame! Running for six weeks without issue. Has an option to dim the screen at night, and to randomise order. I’m not affiliated with the developer, just glad it’s brought a new lease of life to the iPad.

Hey, just waneed to say THANKS VERY much for the tips, here is what I came up with:
a. PhotoManager Pro had too much control for my liking, wanted something just to ”READ” and not potentially erase or manipulate Photos Library; (Probably just in my head, but like to leave my library alone under Apple control (I have 3 devices constantly deleting, adding, editing this library, sometimes offline, which all work well, just don’t want to introduce another manager.
b. SoloSlides: GREAT, paid the 3 bucks, and presto, it is working, access to full library, displays Clock, randomizing everything, lots of choices for duration or photo selection, works for Photos on iPad that aren’t yet downloaded ... been running now for a while, very pleased with my iPad repurposed PhotoFrame on my bookshelf, old photos are seeing the light of day again, nice to have these memories on the book shelf with other photos. Thanks.
