Hello,

I'm putting lots of photos into Albums. I notice that all of the photos I add into Albums still remain in All Photos. This is bothersome to me because when I go into All Photos to look for a random photo (one that did not warrant an Album) it is much more time consuming to find that photo because all of the photos that are in Albums are also in All Photos. Is this how it is designed, or is there a work around? Thanks!

I use photo sort, transfer the photos to albums in Photo-Sort,then delete them from iPad/iPhone pictures folder.
Then your pictures folder won't get filled up with everything you want in special albums.

It's a stupid design of Apples. No matter if you move the photos to another album they stay in the "All Photos". its a hassle because I have moved some photos to some other albums and now I have two copies. I would like that if I moved a photo to another album it removes it from the All Photos album. In my eyes the "all photos" album is just he default where pics are stored when you take the picture. We should have the option to delete it from that folder if we move the picture to another folder.

As i Said earlier, there is a photo storage mapp called Photo-Sort,that solves the problem. Install it,create albums inside app,add photos. After that, you can delete photos from native pictures folder if you do not want them there, and just log in to Photo-Sort to view them.

It is how it is designed, just like "All Mail" in gmail. You might not want it often, but when you need it you need it.

In Photos (on the Mac) I have a Smart Album called "UnFiled", I use "Album is not Any" as the condition. It is very handy.

A.

I’ve not heard of the app but I’d be wary of deleting photos from the native app.

iCloud photos and backups are all based on that original.

There are other similar mapps, and you can also use a sandisk Dongle with Lightning and USB connection to store your photos and save space.
