iPad + Podcasts = Padcasts?

I'm just wondering what video podcasts will look like on the iPad. It seems there would be room for a different class of "padcasts" with extra content somehow. Not sure what exactly, maybe accompanying text or links or graphics? Maybe some ad space?

Or, will the viewer just look a little different, with the available podcasts on the side, and a space to play one in front? (kind of like the new mail app)

Any other ideas out there?

I just wish Apple had a way for podcasters to take make a little cash like they do with App store devs.

There are subscription podcasts out there... I know, I've actually considered subscribing to one (then I came to my senses). It's pretty hard to get people to pay for something when they can get nearly as good content for free elsewhere. Ads might help... but there's nothing preventing people from doing ads (audio or video) in their podcasts right now - many do. It just might be slicker with a "padcast".
