iPad pre-ordering questions

Hi all, sorry if these are all silly questions but just wanting to run past a few things before pre-ordering on Monday:

1) What time do they usually start allowing pre-orders on the Apple Store? (or does it vary?)

2) Do they charge your credit card for the full amount at the time or the preorder or do they wait until shortly prior to the shipment date?

1) There is no certain time. Just keep your eyes peeled.

2) They do not charge until shipped. They will put a "hold" on the funds, which will reduce your available credit, however.
