IPad preorder questions

I am thinking about preordering an ipad (UK). But have a couple of questions.

1. How long are you able to pre-order the ipad? When will they stop pre-orders?

2. When do they take the money? Is it when its dispatched or straight away?

1. No sure answer, but if the demand was as huge as the US, they will stop it when they are running low of supplies.

2. I believe they won't take it until the week of shipping, so between 24th-27th of May.

I have just pre ordered online about 20 mins ago and the money has been allocated from my debit account. I guess it might not actually show up on my statement until the 28th, but the money has been provisionally taken from my account right away.

Was disappointed with no store collect option though :-( hope the local courier comes to my place early on the 28th

The courier is UPS, so if you have had any UPS deliveries in the past - remember the time! Mine delivers at about 9.30am so isn't too bad! Although this will vary with your area as it may be the first, or possibly the last on their list
