Just got a 10.5 iPad Pro and every time I use it it makes a creaking sound in the bottom right corner. Anytime I put any kind of pressure it makes a creaking noise. It gets really bad in landscape mode. Almost as if it’s a manufacturing defect. It is two days old.

I made a Genuis Bar appointment to have them take a look. Am I being reasonable or paranoid?
It is really distracting and I’m worried about long term issues out of warranty.

While at the Apple store, take a look at one of their 10.5’s on display and see if it does the same thing. Note that to the Genius Bar if only yours.

My 10.5 has a slight light leak near the home button when pressing the edge of the nearby screen. Not sure if a quirk of just mine, at the Apple store I saw the 10.5 display models do the same thing.

I’d get it replaced. Mine makes no noise at all, and if it did, I’d imagine that would get annoying after awhile.

Turns out my iPad Pro was warped. They said technically it would be an out of warranty repair. I told them I’ve had it less than a week but the guy was cool and said he was going to do what he could to give me a replacement which he did. Glad I went in to get the issue addressed even though I hate going to the Apple Store nowadays.

Again, great Apple customer support overall.

I went through 5 of them and they all had a slight warp, except for one. Some were worse than others.
