Hello guys,

after watching some comparisons on internet, I’m very interested to know the differences between these two screens in reflections and static contrast.

According to pic attached M1 model (left) has less reflective coating with less purple halo.

has anyone both tablets to clarify this?
Many thanks!

It has to do with the display differences on both models.

Even in the same device model you get some variance.

Of course, it's also entirely possible that Apple has switched LCD suppliers or lost some suppliers between 2020 and 2021.

Has anyone both models to compare? Today I can get an offer for 2020 model (675€) instead of 795 (m1 model) and I have lot of doubts…

Get the new one, may as well get a refurb 2018 if not, not much diff than the 2020 and will be way cheaper.

I have both 11 inch models, the 2021 model screen has Better blacks and is less hazy, I never really liked the 2020 screen, it always looked a bit washed out, but I’m seriously impressed with my 2021 screen.
