So I just picked up my iPad from it's stand and the light caught it just right. It wasn't there last night. I didn't drop it or bend it but it's cracked. I'm guessing I'm going to be screwed on this one and end up with a 900 paperweight.
Apple’s warranty actually covers a single hairline crack without signs of impact, so I’d recommend going to your local Apple store and speak with a genius to see if they’ll grant you an exchange
Where do you live?Good to know I’ll look that up so I can use it in reference, now I just need to find the time to make the trip, closest stores are an hour away. Thanks for the info

Message Apple support on Twitter. They’ll direct you. I’m pretty sure you’re looking at full replacement since Apple doesn’t repair screens on the pros. I’m sure you know but make sure you back up your device.
I took it today and they replaced it for me, no charge since their was no damage or impact to the glass. I still wonder why it cracked, if these things are that fragile given my light usage of it. I was planning to get a brydge keyboard but after this I'm afraid of the hinges being on the glass.

Judging by the image, I don’t think the hinge will touch the glass, but it does need that mechanism to hold keyboard in place. I use Apple Keyboard Folio and find it is surprisingly great to use, and I can type faster than using Logitech Keyboard Folio. Sadly I cannot find a store in Sydney that has Brydge in stock so could not give that one a shot.I took it today and they replaced it for me, no charge since their was no damage or impact to the glass. Was ur iPad still under the warranty at that point in time? i was wondering if there would be any cost incurred to repair this hairline crack if it is out of the 1 year warranty
