Mostly the videos are short instagram reels and stuff like that.
I thought about buying the m2 11 ipad since i can use davinchi resolve on it.
Someone have experience with this kind of setup and can recomand?
Is there heating problem ?
Is it possible to attach an external display, keyboard , mouse and ssd to work with it?
Anything i should be aware before buying ?

No experience with daVinci Resolve, but I've connected mouse, keyboard and display to my iPad without issues.

My monitor is the hub so I just plugged the USB-C into the iPad and voila!, multiple displays and all my desktop accessories were functioning.

It's not something I use a lot because iPadOS is really different in that context.

If you've never edited video on a particular platform before, do a lot of research on available workflows, think about your current workflows if you are already editing on another platform and seriously consider what you anticipate your workflow to be like on the new platform. One can definitely edit video on an iPad and the software available now is miles ahead of what was available in the past. Many people love the platform. Those who don't are often those who prefer different workflow elements that are either not possible or not as easy to achieve on the iPad.

Things like storage and file management for example can vary between Mac/Windows and iPad. Multiple monitor support, keyboard shortcuts, how multitasking is handled etc. etc. Everyone's workflow preferences are unique to themselves so there's no true right or wrong answer that applies to everyone.

I honestly haven't given an M1/M2 iPad a shot for video editing myself but I have a strong suspicion that for my own workflow preferences I'd never be as efficient at doing what I do on my computer on an iPad. For myself, I'll do a batch of 2 to 3 dozen videos at once that I'll pull from a photo shoot, batch rename files and apply batch filters, titles and transitions to them before batch export and upload to the web. All simple stuff that I know I can do on an iPad too but with the additional ports and multiple monitor support of a computer I can do multiple things simultaneously on different screens reducing the overall time spent doing these tasks.

TLDR summary - it helps to go in with a firm understanding of what to expect from a workflow perspective and to do that one should have a general idea of what their preferred workflow is to start with.

Yeah I think as a start if you post your thoughts on your anticipated workflow with as much detail as possible those who have experience in the available applications can chime in and point out things that you might expect to experience. To leave things too general leads to more speculation and keeps things open to everyone’s own subjective opinions on what an ideal workflow should be.

Of course there’s always the option of trying out an iPad and returning it within the return window…
