I figured at this time of the year that stores would be desperately quick to restock ipads.. I havent pulled the trigger on one yet but been keeping an eye on them on amazon and best buy for 2 weeks.... all the stores within about an 80 mile radius have zero one or two in stock...this seems odd to me , makes me think production may be ramped down to clear out this model?

Apple - 11-Inch iPad Pro (Latest Model) with Wi-Fi - 256GB - Space Gray

is immediately available at my local Apple Store, Apple on-line, and 24 of the 25 best buy stores within 65 miles of my location.

The Retail channel is dry on iPad Pros 11 SKUs what does that mean. My sis works at Target and when she looks at All SKUs for the iPad Pro 11, there are None being shipped to her store. Which is Odd for Christmas.

The retail channel only dries up when they Have stopped making them at the manufacturer level. Keep in mind there is most likely a 2 month + Supply of stock either in a warehouse or in Targets Inventor.

But Apple has 100% stopped production of a 13 Month Old Product now. For a minor Refresh.

It really depends on where you live.

I also found the same on Amazon. Many of the models, Amazon isn’t even selling directly themselves, which also seems weird, given that we’re only a week away. It could very well just be a supply chain thing and China-related tariff stuff, but seems fishy (and hopeful!!) :)

So am I buying an iPad next week or what????

I actually don't mind if a spec bump comes in March-April, but in January? Nah. I can wait until January.
I bought one on 1st December 😝

by the way, I still think a new iPad won’t be on the market before March/April.

And miss sales during the holiday season? I don’t think so!

Or announced in March/April, available May/June.

I’ll just go ahead and buy one because YOLO.
I was thinking about an October 2020 release to be honest, after iphone 12, using some of the new technologies.

Not one sale will be missed. Holiday season cleans out remaining stock by idiots buying a 13 month old device.
So I am an idiot, right ?
because a “13 month old device” isn’t fast enough, even if it still is way faster than anything else on the market and after 13 months is sold at a discount...

And by the way, if you buy one today it isn’t “13 months old”, but it would be brand new (mine was manufactured in November).

Well I bought new iPad 0ro 11 yesterday from best buy. Bild date was week 50 mid December 2019. So seems they are still making them.

the 2018 Ipad pro 3rd gen is way ahead of its time, so if you buy it now you will be set for many years to come. I have had mine since last January 17th and working like a champ.

I'm travelling to the US in mid-April and was planning on getting an 11" Pro. Fingers crossed for getting a refresh by then.

The supply chain is dry period. You can probably get one. But Apple stopped production in Late December Anyone in China can just ask a worker and they will say the factory has stopped to re-tool for new iPad Pro that’s what Twitter is for and my coworker who is Chinese.

The Best Buys around me have them in stock and on sale at $125 off normal price.
